| Aloha! Maui Net's WebSite Builder is part of your Maui Net Premier Account. With Maui Net's WebSite Builder you will be able to easily create and update your own website pages. If you can see numerous gray buttons on this page, you are in "EDIT MODE." When you are ready to leave edit mode click the button above labeled "I'm Done Editing... Hide the Buttons." But don't click it yet! First, try making some changes so you can get used to how your website works. |
| Title, Slogan and Address All the information displayed at the top of this page, including website title, slogan and address, can be changed. Go ahead and try it right now! Look for the gray button near the top of the screen labeled "change website title." Click it, and you will be taken to a screen that allows you to change the title. Enter a new name for the site, then click "update." Don't worry - you can change the name again as often as you like. Use other buttons to change your slogan or address. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DISPLAY A SLOGAN OR ADDRESS, SIMPLY LEAVE THE FIELDS BLANK. |
| How the Pages Work Pages are divided into entries. An entry can contain text and/or an image. Think of each entry as a paragraph or section of the web page. To add a new entry, click the large button labeled "ADD MORE PICTURES OR TEXT TO THIS PAGE" then fill in the fields on the screen that appears. Go ahead and try it now! You can always delete or edit the entry later. To change the order that entries appear on the page, use the square boxes on the left of each entry to enter new ranks. Then click "update rank" at the bottom of the page. Note that entries DO NOT have to be numbered consecutively. You can skip numbers (see the original numbers on this page). This allows you to insert new entries in between, without the chore of re-numbering everything. |
| Creating a New Page Creating a new page for your website is simple with Maui Net's WebSite Builder. Simply click the button on the left labeled "add another page!" A form will appear. After you fill in the fields, a link to your new page will appear in the left-hand navigation. Click the link, and you can begin adding entries to the new page. |
| Changing the Look of Your Website With Maui Net's WebSite Builder you can easily change the look of your website by selecting a new "template" or design. Click the large button labeled "I want a new look! Show me website designs." On the page that appears select a template style. On the page that follows select a template color. Try it! You can always change your mind. |
| Experiment! The best way to get to know Maui Net's WebSite Builder is to use it. Create a few test entries and upload a few pictures before you get serious about creating your site. Remember, you can always change things! When you feel comfortable, go ahead and replace these instructions with entries you create for YOUR website. Also, try to find time to visit the admin.
